Evenings are spent indulging in delicious local cuisine at award-winning restaurants. And come nightfall, we’ve carefully chosen premium accommodations that are small, intimate and full of character — think a restored Elizabethan cider farm, a former Harbourmaster’s residence, and a contemporary art hotel.

For more avid hikers, we’ll offer an alternative walk in the scenic Shropshire Hills.

This is followed by exclusive access inside the Pen y Garreg Dam.

When to Go

This trip is offered from mid April to mid October, with the best weather typically from May to September. May is a particularly lovely time to visit, with spring flowers in full bloom and newborn lambs playing in the fields.

Keep in mind that UK schools break for summer in mid-July through August, so some places will be busier than usual.

While our tours offer flexibility in start dates, we suggest starting this tour on a Saturday or Sunday.

The walks on this trip are moderately challenging, covering up to 8 miles each day at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to take in the beautiful scenery.

As Wales is known for its rolling hills, you can expect some ups and downs along the way. But don’t worry—we can provide hiking poles to make your journey easier, and our expert guides will be there to support you throughout. Detailed information about each day’s hike is included in the itinerary.

The best part? Since this is your private adventure, the walks can be tailored to match your fitness level and preferences.

This is a private tour, exclusively for you and your travel companions.
